Nomi is a calm nutrition journaling app. We built it to be useful without being invasive. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your personal data.
Who we are
Nomi ("Nomi", "we", "us") provides the Nomi mobile application for iPhone. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at lorik.fetax@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account with Sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we receive a basic identifier and, where available, your name and email address. This is used to sign you in and sync your account. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email address.
Meal photos and analysis
When you scan a meal, the photo is sent to our analysis provider to identify the food and produce your Meal Balance Score and nutrient estimates. The resulting analysis (meal title, score, ingredients, notes) is stored on your device. Photos are processed to generate your result and are not used to advertise to you.
App content you create
Your meals, hydration logs, preferences, and onboarding answers are stored locally on your device so the app works offline. If you sign in, account level data may be stored with our backend provider to support your account.
Subscription information
Purchases are handled by Apple. We use a subscription management provider to know whether your subscription is active. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple does not share your card number with us.
Diagnostic information
We may receive limited, non identifying technical logs to keep the app stable. We do not use third party advertising or cross app tracking.
How we use information
- To analyze the meals you scan and return your score and insights.
- To create and secure your account and sync it across reinstalls.
- To provide and renew your subscription and restore prior purchases.
- To keep the app reliable and to fix problems.
Service providers we use
We share the minimum data needed with trusted providers who process it on our behalf:
- OpenAI processes meal photos and text to generate your analysis. See OpenAI's API data usage terms.
- Supabase provides authentication and account data storage.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status and entitlements.
- Apple processes your purchase and manages billing and renewals.
These providers are bound to use the data only to provide their service to us.
Data retention
Most of your content lives on your device and is removed when you delete the app or clear its data. Account level data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your account record on a best effort basis and you can also remove all local data from within the app.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account. Open Settings inside the app and choose Delete Account. This removes your account and wipes the app data on your device.
- Access and correction. You can edit your name and preferences in the app. For other requests, email us.
- Manage your subscription. Use your App Store account settings to view or cancel a subscription at any time.
Children
Nomi is not directed to children under 13, and you must be old enough to form a binding contract to use it. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
